While most people opt for Ibiza or Mallorca, Menorca is the choice for lovers of peace and space. The island is less crowded than Mallorca. Menorca has a rich history. As an island, it often played a central role in the past due to its strategic location and therefore had to be defended regularly. There are two major cities you must visit on Menorca. The oldest and most historic city, Ciutadella, is located on the west coast of the island.
