Boutique B&B in a fairy-tale manor house in the Normandy region

Manoir de Surville is the very epitome of romance. This unique manor house located in the northwest of France appears to be straight out of a fairy tale, and is also the ideal starting point for an exploration through the Normandy region. The welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, the charming rooms, and a wonderful pool make this boutique B&B the perfect stay for couples and families.

Take a right turn at Paris and continue straight for an hour. Manoir de Surville is situated in the Normandy hinterland, nestled between the cosmopolitan French capital and the atmospheric seaside resort of Honfleur. The authentic manor house, surrounded by farmland, allows you to explore the region at a leisurely pace. You can visit places like Rouen, for instance, the historical capital of the region, located roughly 30 minutes from the accommodation. Or visit Monet's gardens in Giverny.

Manoir de Surville is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway with your lover, or a relaxing family vacation, not far from the Dutch border. You can genuinely enjoy peace, history, and quality time with each other. There is a 20-meter long heated pool, open from May to September, a spa with sauna and steam bath, you can try yoga, and even picnic on the estate.

There is a gourmet restaurant that opens every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and every day in July and August, except on Tuesdays. A popular spot that usually requires a reservation, but you will certainly want to dine in. Executive Chef Mathieu runs the kitchen and crafts mouth-watering dishes using fine ingredients that the region and the season provide.

You will spend the night in one of the 11 charming rooms which all exude an intimate and homely atmosphere, but each differs slightly in terms of layout, color, and accessories. Traveling with small children? Consider booking a suite. It can be combined with a Classic Room to form one room. Handy, isn't it?

    Normandy

Do you already know Normandy? This beautiful and characteristic region, in the northwest of France, is about a 2-hour drive from Paris and is famous for its glorious history and extensive beaches. You will also stumble across fairytale villages and historic places, such as Monet's romantic gardens in Giverny, the impressive Champ de Bataille castle and the pleasant port city of Honfleur.

    Atmospheric and modern

With only 11 rooms, the atmosphere in Manoir de Surville feels intimate and small-scale. The rooms are all different, but they all feel homely and offer a unique sense of warmth. There is plenty of light from outside, and natural colors are beautifully combined with wood, granite, and natural stone.

    Homemade with love

When something is homemade, you know a lot of love has been put into it and you can taste it. Much like the dishes from Mathieu. The chef of this House of Hideaways accommodation cooks creative gastronomic and seasonal dishes, using fresh ingredients. Highly recommended if you are staying overnight here! Be sure to reserve in advance, as the restaurant only opens for dinner on Thursdays and weekends, except in July and August. Then Mathieu almost opens his restaurant every day.

    Completely zen

Relaxing at the spa of Manoir de Surville is a true indulgence. Here you'll find a steam bath, a hot bath, a sauna, and a shower with light therapy. And for those seeking even more relaxation, luxurious treatments are available using the high-quality beauty products of the renowned French brand Cinq Mondes. You can also enjoy delightful massages. Maison Maya, the first holistic spa in Normandy, invites you to a soothing moment. Discover here a unique massage technique that combines reflexology touch with body sculpting, all based on the use of natural products.
