5-star hotel on a beautiful estate in Provence with a spa and Michelin-starred restaurant

Château de la Gaude is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful chateaus in the south of France. This gem is located on a fairy-tale estate near Aix-en-Provence and boasts an impressive wine and art collection, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and a luxurious spa. It is, in short, a bath in luxury!

The exclusive retreat of Château de la Gaude is particularly loved for its intimate atmosphere and carefully considered details. There are only 17 rooms and suites available for stay, and everywhere you look you will see beautiful design and art objects: in the rooms and suites, in the lobby and other public spaces of the hotel, and in the beautifully landscaped garden. For example, there is a massive stainless-steel shark by Philippe Pasqua in the middle of the park, and inside the chateau are various spaces where you can admire modern sculptures and paintings.

It's not just your eyes that will be feasted during a stay at this luxury chateau hotel, as all your senses are constantly stimulated here. During a visit to the Valmont spa, where you can indulge in facial rituals, body treatments, and relaxing massages. But also during a lunch or dinner at one of the top-class restaurants.

    Member of Relais & Chateaux

Château de Gaude is affiliated with the prestigious label Relais & Chateaux and boasts several fantastic restaurants where you can treat your taste buds. At the chic 'La Source Restaurant,' you can indulge in good cocktails, snack platters, street food, and a selection of tapas during both afternoon and evening. At the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Art, you'll experience the scents, colors, and flavors of Provence. You can also enjoy high-quality culinary delights at the Japanese restaurant Kaiseki. During summer, savor lunch or dinner on the terrace overlooking the surrounding estate and gardens. Dining during a balmy summer evening is an assured delight, lasting until late hours.

Are you a wine enthusiast? Your heart will beat faster during a visit to Château de la Gaude's wine cellar, where more than 900 wine bottles are stored. Taste the mineral-rich wines of the château and don't forget to stock up for home. Moreover, the elegant showroom also sells beautiful decanters. These are true eye-catchers that steal the show on your dining table, especially during an elaborate dinner with friends or family!

    Provence

In the beautiful Provence, there is so much to see and experience. That's why it's worth it to take the car and discover the most famous sights in the area. Must-sees are the famous Roman bridge 'Pont du Gard' and the historical cities of Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, which are a 15-minute drive away.

    Rooms worthy of a magazine

A herringbone floor, a marble fireplace and wooden beams or graceful ornaments that adorn the walls and ceilings. The rooms of Chateau de la Gaude are jewels, one by one. They all have a contemporary style in an impeccable white-on-white palette, a regal bed, and marble bathrooms with views over the estate.

    The Art

Chateau de La Gaude features a gourmet restaurant where Michelin-starred chef Matthieu Dupuis-Baumal reigns supreme. Pure art is what you can expect here: picturesque plates adorned with the best products from Provence. Think of, asparagus from Mallemort, eel from the Camargue, snails from Pertuis, olive oil from Xavier Alazard in Baux-de-Provence and fish from the Mediterranean.

    The Valmont Spa

The Valmont spa is a place where you can completely pamper yourself. A range of treatments are offered, including various massages, manicures and pedicures. There is a hamam, a sauna, and a swimming pool. The spa also has a fitness room, where you can even get personal training if you book it in advance.
