Luxury five-star hotel with 1000m2 spa and five top restaurants, located amidst the botanical gardens of Antwerp

In the heart of Antwerp, you'll find the super luxurious five-star hotel, Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp, a true haven of tranquility in the midst of this vibrant and indulgent city. The hotel is situated in a former medieval monastery that has been completely renovated and transformed into the high-end hotel it is today. The interior is stunning, the diverse Michelin-starred restaurants offer an outstanding culinary experience, and the spa and wellness facilities are top-notch! Throughout the interior, you can still find the characteristic elements of the former monastery, from the old brick floors and tall windows to the authentic beam ceilings. The past and present have been perfectly blended into a unique experience that Botanic Sanctuary offers.

Amidst the Hortus Botanicus of Antwerp

Botanic Sanctuary owes its name to the remarkable location where it resides, within the Plantentuin van Antwerpen, affectionately known as 'Den Botaniek.' This botanical garden spans nearly 1 hectare and was established in 1825 in the heart of Antwerp. It hosts over 2000 different species of herbs, flowers, and plants, easily discoverable as you stroll along the winding paths, thanks to convenient name tags. It's easy to momentarily forget that you're amidst a bustling city while exploring here. Due to the abundance of medicinal herbs growing around the hotel, Botanic Sanctuary incorporates herbs and homeopathy into its beauty treatments. They've even developed their own product line, available for purchase at the 'Botanic Saint Charles' concept store located next to the hotel. Many of the herbs used as ingredients in these luxurious beauty products can be found within the botanical gardens.

    1000m2 Spa & Wellness

The holistic approach and the use of natural herbs are also reflected in the spa and wellness section. The 1000m2 spa, developed under stunning architecture, offers ample space for relaxation. The Botanic Health Spa includes three saunas, an ice cave, Kneipp circuit, experience showers with plant infusions, steam room, jacuzzi, herbal and vitamin bar, a beauty salon with 10 treatment rooms, and a relaxation area where you can unwind after treatments. As a cherry on top, there's an 18-meter panoramic pool with glass windows providing views of the surrounding historical buildings and gardens.

4 Michelin stars in one location

Antwerp has risen to become the culinary capital of Belgium, boasting an impressive 17 restaurants that have earned at least one Michelin star. Zilte, led by Viki Geunes, has even received the highest distinction of three stars. The renowned The Jane, holding two stars, is definitely worth a visit. For a Michelin-starred meal, you can also choose from one of the five restaurants at Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp. Collectively, these restaurants hold four Michelin stars and are helmed by 6 top chefs, including renowned names like Gert De Mangeleer and Jacob Jan Boerma.

A lunch or dinner experience at chef Gert De Mangeleer and sommelier Joachim Boudens' restaurant, Hertog Jan **, offers an exclusive experience. The dishes are refined and inspired by Asian flavors, ensuring a unique culinary adventure. At Fine Fleur *, led by Dutch chefs Jacob Jan Boerma and Thomas Diepersloot, expect a refined culinary interpretation on the plate. Anticipate fresh-sour taste contrasts, delicate textures, and powerful classic flavors in intense sauces. It's often described as fine casual dining!

Sophisticated rooms and suites, perfect for a luxurious weekend getaway

Staying at Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp means indulging in luxurious rooms that are true gems. The modern interior takes inspiration from Japanese design aesthetics and the life philosophy of Wabi-sabi, embracing imperfections. The rooms are soothingly furnished with timeless designer furniture, employing natural tones and materials. Art also holds a central place, with striking artworks frequently found in the beautifully styled rooms. Each room features excellent beds, soft bathrobes, coffee and tea facilities, luxurious bath products, and a SMART TV.
