Modern grand hotel in the heart of Zermatt with iconic Matterhorn views

In the heart of car-free Zermatt, surrounded by majestic mountains, lies Beausite, a hidden gem offering spectacular views of the iconic Matterhorn. This grand hotel exudes the warmth and charm of a boutique retreat, with its thoughtfully designed interiors and vibrant colors.

While the hotel itself offers plenty to enjoy—including a blissful spa, an outdoor pool, and a cozy bar—the surrounding area is equally worth exploring. Beausite is perfectly situated in the charming village of Zermatt, where you can stroll through picturesque streets lined with boutique shops and delightful restaurants. For winter sports enthusiasts, the hotel is an ideal base, with ski lifts just a short walk away and convenient ski lockers where your gear is prepped and ready for you. And, of course, there’s the breathtaking view of the Matterhorn, visible from almost every corner of the hotel.

    Unexpected interior design

The interior of Beausite is a delightful surprise, perfectly reflecting the unique character of this exceptional hotel. Far from the traditional rustic mountain style, it offers a fresh and contemporary take on classic alpine charm. Vibrant hues like yellow, pink, and green are harmoniously paired with striking prints and high-quality finishes—think House of Hackney wallpapers, handcrafted George Smith furniture, and luxurious Mulberry fabrics. The result is a warm, cheerful, and effortlessly stylish ambiance.

The hotel’s 61 rooms are all designed with modern comfort in mind, featuring plush beds that guarantee a restful night’s sleep. The vibrant and surprising interior extends into the rooms and suites, with subtle yet striking patterns woven into the headboards, wallpapers, rugs, curtains, and even the bathroom tiles. The bathrooms are equipped with luxurious L’Occitane amenities, and some even feature traditional wooden bathtubs. For the ultimate indulgence, reserve the exclusive Tower Spa Suite. This remarkable suite boasts a private whirlpool, breathtaking panoramic views, and the majestic Matterhorn as its backdrop. A stay here is nothing short of unforgettable.

    Extensive breakfast

Breakfast at Beausite is an experience in itself and the perfect way to start your day in the mountains. Expect an extensive buffet brimming with fresh, locally sourced products. From crispy rolls and artisanal jams to a selection of cheeses and regional meat specialties—everything is thoughtfully curated. To elevate your morning, enjoy made-to-order eggs and even a glass of bubbly for an added touch of luxury.

Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world

The Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world, dominates the view from nearly every corner of the hotel. Yet nothing can truly prepare you for the grandeur of seeing it in person. Rising dramatically above the village of Zermatt, nestled in a valley, this awe-inspiring natural wonder is impossible to miss. Whether it’s the golden glow of the sun on its slopes or the snow-capped peak glistening in the light, the Matterhorn is an icon that never ceases to enchant. This majestic mountain leaves an indelible impression, an experience you’ll carry with you long after your visit.

Diverse culinary offerings at the hotel

At Beausite Zermatt, every detail revolves around creating unforgettable experiences—including dining. The Grill, the hotel’s signature restaurant, serves dishes like meat, fish, and vegetables prepared using traditional methods. The atmosphere is as remarkable as the menu, featuring dramatic red chandeliers and an industrial-chic vibe. For a truly Swiss culinary experience, settle into the Witch’eese Fondue Hut and savor a classic, comforting fondue. Wine enthusiasts will feel at home in the Wine Box, where local and European wines take center stage. End your day by the cozy fireplace in the bar or soak up the sunshine and breathtaking mountain views on the terrace.

    Relaxation in the spa

After a day of adventures in the mountains, the Spa & Recharge Zone at Beausite is the ultimate sanctuary to unwind. Take a dip in the indoor pools or the heated outdoor pool, all while soaking in breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. The spa offers everything you need for complete relaxation, from a hammam and saunas to an infrared cabin. For the ultimate indulgence, treat yourself to a hot stone massage or an herbal compress, and let all your stress melt away.
