Luxurious chateau hotel with dreamy view of the vineyards in the Champagne region

Looking for a luxurious stay amongst the vineyards in the Champagne region? Then head off to the chic Chateau de Sacy, which you can reach in just 5 hours from Amsterdam, and where you can literally and figuratively bubble amongst the grapes.

Just fifteen minutes from Reims, stands the hotel Chateau de Sacy, which was once built by the famous architect Pierre Louis GOSSET, overlooking the eponymous village. From the outside, the building looks stately, but inside it gets even better: high ceilings, ornate ornaments, and almost everywhere you look, you have an incredible view of the vineyards of the famous Champagne region.

The eclectic interior exudes tremendous grandeur and could easily feature in magazines. It will therefore not surprise you that CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER, The Times Of India, and VOYAGE have already written about this special chateau in the Champagne region. About the gilded bar in the salon, where you can enjoy a glass of Laurent Perrier and Biscuits rose de Reims (traditional champagne cookies). But also about Josephine de Beauharnais, Marie-Antoinette, Winston Churchill or one of the 12 other comfortable rooms and suites named after historical icons.

The rooms of this fine hotel are each unique, but all have that beautiful view of the landscape. In addition, they are equipped with soft colors, lots of natural light, huge windows, antique furniture and modern amenities, such as a box spring and a bathroom with rain shower. In the accompanying restaurant Les Vignes, you also have that fantastic view and if you sit outside, you can practically touch the vines. At this dream place you can taste modern French classics such as foie gras, "pot au feu" and paté of veal and chicken breast, in an Instagram-worthy setting.

But perhaps the nicest feature is this: Chateau de Sacy combines glamour with a homely atmosphere. You can order your cup of coffee, tea, or hot milk, before going to sleep, simply at the bar. And you can comfortably walk through the lobby in your bathrobe, with a bottle of champagne under your arm, to step into one of the two hot tubs that stand outside amongst the vineyards.

    A romantic weekend getaway

Chateau de Sacy is the ideal getaway for a few romantic nights away with your lover. Sleeping in this idyllic chateau is not just an unforgettable experience. The surroundings of this unique House of Hideaways accommodation will also amaze you. Pay a visit to one of the small champagne farmers in the region, where you can buy top champagnes at a good price, follow the tour of Mercier in Epernay, where you travel by train through the city's miles-long underground tunnel system, or drink champagne at a height of 5 meters in the trees, at the trendy Perching bar.

    View, view and more view!

You wake up and go to bed in all 12 luxury rooms and suites with a fabulous view. After all, you have that endless view of the vineyards everywhere. All rooms and suites at Chateau de Sacy are also named after icons from history and each has a unique interior. So they are all different, but with a beautiful mix of traditional and modern.

Classic French dining in the vineyards

In the accompanying restaurant Les Vignes, you can also enjoy that fantastic view. If you sit outside, you can practically touch the grapevines. On this dream spot, French classics are on the menu and you can order dishes such as foi gras, "pot au feu" and pate of veal and chicken breast. The wine list is one to behold!

    Reims & Epernay

Chateau de Sacy is a fifteen-minute drive from Reims. A small, charming town with its main highlight being the Gothic cathedral. In addition to a visit to Reims, the city of Epernay is also a must during your trip to Champagne. On L'Avenue de Champagne, you will find most of the major champagne houses, and you can take various tours and of course, enjoy some tastings.
