Alpenloge is run by the extremely friendly and hospitable couple Michael and Anja and is located in the rural Scheidegg. The special boutique hotel is beautifully and lovingly decorated by owner Anja and finished down to the smallest detail. You can see this in the atmospheric living room with a fireplace, but also in the comfortable rooms. Each one has a well-thought-out interior and they each have a slightly different style: one with a touch of avant-garde chic, the other with a modern alpine look.

The furnishings of Alpenloge are not only beautiful, but also environmentally friendly. When the boutique hotel was designed, the owners kept this in mind as much as possible. Because, in a place like this, where you are so close to nature, preserving it is the most important thing of all. So in order to enjoy all the beauty around you for as long as possible, mainly natural products and materials were used, mainly sourced from local producers. In addition, they use a ventilation system that has been hailed as the best system for energy recovery by The Passive House Institute.

Alpenloge is a luxurious and splendid getaway where you go for pure relaxation. The picturesque landscape, the pure mountain air, and the warmth of the owners make you feel at home upon arrival and fully relax. But the small yet fine wellness center also contributes a lot. Here you can doze in soft loungers, enjoy various treatments, and warm your stiff muscles in the panoramic sauna.

In the morning, it is wonderful to wake up in this extraordinary House of Hideaways accommodation. Then a breakfast étagère awaits you with butter, cheese, and smoked meats from the Alps, fruits from the local land and homemade jams. In other words, all kinds of goodies from the region that give you enough energy to go out for a long walk or beautiful bike ride. There is so much beauty to discover here…

Past and Present

In the 1930s, Alpenloge was originally designed as the village school building, but for the past 2 years it has been owned by Michael and Anja and serves as a small and luxurious design hotel. The traditional building was converted into an atmospheric place where guests can feel at home and where consideration has been given to nature and environment, and the history of the past is still palpable.

Rooms that are decorated with love

The atmospheric rooms of Alpenloge are lovingly decorated by owner Anja with wooden floors, cowhides on the ground, a cheeky wallpaper on the wall, and a bathroom with a flashy silver bathtub and rain shower. In addition, the temperature and humidity are well regulated in all rooms and you will find pleasant facilities that will enhance your stay here. Think about high-speed internet, a comfortable box-spring bed, and a cozy seating area with a flat-screen TV.

The food is a party at Alpenloge Hotel. Everything is prepared with love, using mainly ingredients grown locally. For breakfast, you'll enjoy butter, cheese, and smoked meat from the Alps, as well as delicious egg dishes, seasonal fruit, and homemade marmalade. Dinner plates are artfully arranged, giving you a taste of the region's best. Staying here in the summer? Try the barbecue, organized in the garden in good weather. And in winter, there's a fondue party by the open fireplace.
