A building with a story

Bouquerie Lagrasse is located in the building that once served as Lagrasse's bakery, where baker Lucien Bertrand lived with his wife and daughters. In 1944, towards the end of the Vichy regime - which had control over Southern France during World War II -. As a result, a Jewish couple was at risk of being apprehended by the German militia. The baker and his family offered them shelter, managing to hide the couple for 9 months.
